In 2002, she founded Event Journal, Inc., the first web-based system that provides an alternative to printed ad journals used as fundraising vehicles for major galas and benefits. The EVENTjournal.com system transforms the passive book into a dynamic, year-round marketing tool that maximizes fundraising opportunities. Her company also provides micro-websites and related marketing services for charity golf outings and other fundraising events. Clients include hospitals, social and human service agencies, schools and universities, medical research organizations and other nonprofits across the country.
Karen holds her B.A. from The Pennsylvania State University School of Communications and has worked at several of NY's top advertising agencies on Fortune 100 accounts. Her marketing career also includes stints in newspaper, television and multi-media. Additionally, she holds a Master's degree in Social Work from Adelphi University.
Throughout her career, Ms. Perry has been active in non-profit, business and community.
